Create Virtual Switch on Main Server Hyper-V<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Get All IP Configurations on the main server by running IPconfig\/ALL\u00a0<\/strong>command.<\/li>
  2. In the Hyper-V Manager Create New Virtual Switch<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. Set Connection Type to External<\/strong>.<\/li>
  4. Select the Adapter Associated with your server\u2019s IP.<\/li>
  5. Check Allow Management OS to share this network Adapter<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Add Virtual MAC address of the VM on Hyper-V<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now you can change the settings of the VM that hosted on your server by adding the MAC address of the Fail-Over IP, \u201cPlease Note that the VM server status should be shutdown<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select the VM Server that you want to edit.<\/li>
    2. Click VM Settings to edit Virtual Machine Properties.<\/li>
    3. Expand the network Adapter of the VM and click Advance Features<\/strong>.<\/li>
    4. Change the MAC address to \u201cStatic<\/strong>\u201d and enter the fail-over virtual MAC address .<\/li>
    5. Press OK<\/strong> to apply the changes.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Configure the Network Adapter inside the VM \u201cWindows Server\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Now we start configuring the VM network adapter to assign the IP and Gateway and DNS Server<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Start the VM and login as administrator.<\/li>
      2. From Control Panel<\/strong> > Network and Share Center<\/strong>.<\/li>
      3. Click on Eithernet<\/strong> Link connections.<\/li>
      4. Click the properties to view Eithernet properties<\/strong>.<\/li>
      5. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP\/IPv4)<\/strong>.<\/li>
      6. Click on Properties button to show IPv4 Properties as bellow.<\/li>
      7. Then From the IPv4 Properties select Use the following IP address<\/strong>.<\/li>
      8. Add the IP and subnet details.<\/li>
