DNS: Internet Name Resolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Domain Name System (DNS) is\na competent directory<\/strong> for the conversion of alphanumeric\ndomain names into digital IP addresses. Name resolution is carried out\ndecentralized on DNS servers distributed all over the world. Each Internet\naddress that you enter in the search bar of your browser is transmitted to a\nDNS server by your router. The latter interprets the domain name in a\nseries of numbers and returns the<\/strong> corresponding IP\naddress<\/strong> . If the DNS server does not respond, the web page cannot\nbe loaded. The following error message appears: “the DNS server is\nnot responding”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Problem resolution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
